It was a rough night of storms in the Austin-San Antonio corridor. Power outages continue this morning as crews work to bring customers back on line.
Austin Energy is reporting roughly 4,000 customers without power wile PEC estimates 4,000, Oncor 3,500 and Bluebonnet Electric 2,275.
Heavy damage was reported near Burleson Road and Mustang Ridge areas. Hays and Williamson Counties also have reported storm damage including a 12 car train derailment near Thrall.
The American Red Cross is set up on Main Street in Thrall to assist those hit by the storms.
In San Antonio, the NWS has confirmed a tornado touched down on Linda Drive near the Quarry area.
The NWS says as many as 150 homes were damaged or destroyed by the storm, which brought gusty winds and drenching rains to the city.
The Bexar County Sheriff reports cars were 'being blown off roads' at the height of the storm.
Shortly after 4AM, CPS Energy reported more than 47,000 customers without electric power. Power is out all over the county, with the heaviest concentration of outages, again, on the city's northeast side.
