Kenny Chesney Adds Amphitheater Dates to 2018 Tour

Kenny Chesney is exploring something new on tour this year.

Known for his high-energy stadium shows, the country megastar has announced the addition of 21 amphitheater concerts to his already busy Trip Around the Sun Tour.

While KC explains there’s “nothing like the energy of a stadium show,” there’s “something about the amphitheaters” that his No Shoes Nation loves.

“It’s like being with your friends somewhere back home, singing songs and hanging out, and having the best party of the year,” Kenny says. “For us, it feels like the people are so right there, and the songs are driving the night…. We’re going to make sure there are plenty of opportunities to see us under the pavilion or out on the lawn.”

Kenny kicks off his previously announced stadium trek April 21 at Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium, while his amphitheater shows begin May 10 at Virginia Beach’s Farm Bureau Live.

The 2018 Trip Around the Sun Tour, which will feature opening acts Thomas Rhett, Brandon Lay and Old Dominion, will also visit West Palm Beach, Phoenix, Denver and Boston’s Gillette Stadium.

Old Dominion will open Kenny’s amphitheater shows.
