It's fall, y'all, so that means it's time for pumpkin spice lattes margaritas.
San Antonio-based chain Taco Cabana released three seasonal margaritas on Monday: blood orange, sour gummy, and - you guessed it - pumpkin spice.
Taco Cabana is no stranger to trying out not-so-traditonal margarita flavors, like spicy guava, and tamarindo.
“Taco Cabana guests have enthusiastically responded to our margarita lineup all summer long and we are extremely excited to continue our Taco Cabana flavor innovation with the launch of our three new seasonal margaritas,” said Rich Stockinger, CEO and president of Fiesta Restaurant Group, Inc., the company that owns Taco Cabana.
Have cocktails gone too far? Or is this an acceptable alternative when you want a PSL but it's just too dang hot outside?
Chili's released a similar margarita called the Great Pumpkin in 2018. It didn't come back the following year so pumpkin spice margaritas haven't made that much of a splash yet.
These pumpkin spice margaritas will only be available at Taco Cabana locations in Austin, Dallas/Fort Worth, El Paso, Houston, and San Antonio. They'll be available all day and starting at 10 a.m. on Sunday.
For those out of Texas, you're out of luck, but a quick google search brings up plenty of recipes for homemade PSL margs.
