Bobby Shares Coyote Update and Why He Won't Be Getting a Llama Anytime Soon
Bobby Bones shared a new update on the coyotes living on his property after his dog Eller was injured, and revealed why he won't be getting a llama despite repeated suggestions from Amy.
During a conversation on the show, Amy brought up a unique solution she's convinced could help solve Bobby's coyote problem: a llama!
According to Amy, llamas and even donkeys are known to help deter coyotes, making them a potential option for Bobby's property. But Bobby quickly pointed out several reasons why he's not sold on the idea.
"I don't want to have to feed a llama," Bobby said. "We go out of town, it's hard enough with the dogs."
Amy wasn't backing down, though. After looking up information about llamas, she pointed out that they primarily eat grass, plants and hay, and suggested they could practically help maintain the property while protecting it.
The conversation quickly turned into a debate over housing, transportation and even llama ownership logistics, with Amy joking that Bobby could drop the animal off at her house whenever he travels.
As funny as the llama discussion became, the coyote situation remains a serious concern. Bobby shared that the coyotes are still coming onto the property, even during daylight hours, and his dogs can no longer roam outside the way they used to.
"The dogs are not able to go outside like they used to," Bobby explained. "They go out with guidance."
While Bobby said he and his wife are still exploring options, one thing he's certain about is that he doesn't want anyone coming out to kill the coyotes or their babies.
"At this stage in my life, I'm not for the murdering of animals," he said.
For now, Bobby says the coyotes remain on the property and occasionally emerge from the woods during the day to watch from a distance.
As for the llama idea? Despite Amy's best sales pitch, Bobby doesn't sound convinced.
"I'm not getting a llama. I'm not getting a donkey," he said. "They are still on the property. They still come out in the daytime and just stare at us."
